Grief and loss
Grief and loss, at whatever pace it takes
For Black women who have lost someone or something, and who are tired of being told how long it should take.
Mariah makes room for a death, a breakup, a move, a faith, or a future you had planned. Some sessions are about the person; some are about everything else that has changed since. Nothing has to be settled by the end of the hour.
What sessions look like
You talk about who or what you lost, in whatever order
Mariah listens, and asks about what you want to keep
Space for the rituals and the family that matter to you

Good to know
What this is, and what it is not
Talk therapy
Conversation is the work. Mariah does not tell you how to grieve.
Not an emergency service
If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911. Loam does not monitor messages around the clock.
Your pace
Mariah sets the pace with you. She does not promise a number of sessions, and the work has no end date.

Questions
Questions about this work
Is there a right way to grieve?
No. Mariah does not give you steps to follow, and she does not tell you when you should be finished.
Can I bring something of theirs?
If it helps you talk about them, yes.
How is it paid?
Out of network, with a monthly receipt you can send to your plan, and a limited number of reduced-fee spots.
